At the age of six months, Bizzy began his training for field work. A dog with a goofy personality and highly socialable with people, Bizzy has proven to be an excellent hunting companion. His points are from great distances and he shows tons of obedience on birds. At 8 months old, Bizzy proved how steady he was on birds for his first JH leg, where he held point and remained through to the report of the pistol (see picture above, by Shelly Kliefoth). However steady he is to wing, shot, and kill; Bizzy has always performed at a level beyond what he has been taught. He has always been a softer dog, so training with him has had to be slow and patient. Bizzy is a natural retriever and has a natural honor. He gets to work and ranges anywhere from 40-50 yards, and can adjust himself in new terrain and conditions.

Bizzy's personality is what his name implies - "busy". His body never seems to stop working, and not to mention he is the household goofball or even a "class clown" during training. He has reserved personality with strangers but enjoys the company of everyone. Because he is soft under pressure, this makes him an excellent one-man gundog.

Bizzy finished his Master title with 7 runs. He finished his AKC Championship in 7 weekends, winning a 4 point major at the IKC show in Chicago in February 2011 and a 3 point major at the Oshkosh, WI dog show in May 2011.

Bizzy's pedigree is filled with dogs with wonderful conformation and hunting ability. His lines are heavy with German lines and many of the US's well-known Hall of Fame dogs. He is from showlines and hunting lines - so it is clear to see that Bizzy has inherited looks and natural talent in the field.
