Dog: "Tank" Breed: German Wirehair |
I have taken my wirehair to work with Jessica, and she has done a wonderful job. She puts a lot of work and effort into your dog and just as much into her's, and she prides that. She sent my dog and I home with "homework" every week to help get training rolling. I haven't had a chance to take my dog hunting this fall because he's just a pup, but I look forward to the next season! Thanks Jessica! Ben Klosser |

Hello Jessica I'm writing to thank you for your guidance this past summer with our Bailey. I was impressed with your overall composure with her and I. You understood her as a dog and myself as a new handler; overall I was amazed at how gentle you were with her. When you told me that she was a little soft, I honestly laughed because of how stubborn she can be in the house with myself and my family. I believe your methods have helped her be a better dog in the house now that she knows who's in charge. We don't let her on the furniture anymore, especially not the bed! I feel this was more of a therapy for her and helped us establish a better communication with her. Anyways, back to Bailey and hunting; I took her opening weekend down at Bong. I was surprised I didn't run into you down there, considering you were already down there so much helping me and a few other people during this summer. Saturday she pointed beautifully on a nice hen that my wife shot down for her, and because my wife wouldn't listen and get on one knee for her, Bailey dropped the bird a few feet from her. My wife was impressed that Bailey held the hen to the flush! She broke after the shot, but you said that it would take some more time to make her steady. It was a half an hour before Bong closed that I got myself a nice rooster down there, Bailey brought it back with some coaxing and heavy petting before I took it away. She listened to me all this past weekend while we worked birds, Sunday we weren't as lucky, but I was still impressed with the control I had over the little spitfire! Again, I'd like to thank you for the wonderful job you have done in helping my wife and I in creating a wonderful hunting dog for ourselves. We look forward to training with you sometime this fall or hunting with you. Good luck this fall and good luck in all you do! We will definitely recommend you for people we know who want a local trainer. Gary and Cindy Lonn |

Dog: "Spruce" Breed: English Pointer |
Hi Jessica, This is Mark Hoefmann, I own "Spruce" the little black-headed pointer bitch that you have been helping me train. I must say, I am very excited for this coming fall season! Spruce has come a long way now that you have pointed ( :) ) her in the right direction! Your guidance was key to her success, I believe. We ran her last weekend with some buddies on their local hunting preserve down in Illinois. Needless to say, she out performed the "guide dog" that they had rented for the morning. :) She handled nice, and just as you said numerous times to me, "Just let her work, Mark!" I believe that by not talking, it makes her more confident, and I can see it every day with each bird she encounters. Her retrieves aren't super, but as you said, it must be fun. I've been trying to restrain myself from having the urge of taking the bird away, it's so hard especially with a nice looking ringneck in her mouth! Lisa and I have decided not to run her through hunting tests like we had planned. We've come to the conclusion that just having her around the house and being a "weekend warrior" gun dog is just fine for us. We will be seeing you in the field soon and getting in touch with you for more training, good luck with your dogs this fall. Happy Hunting, |
